Advanced resource recovery solutions

With a view that all waste is a resource, Transpacific places a strong focus on incorporating recovery, recycling and reuse in everything we do. Our sustainable waste management approach aims to maximise material recovery and recycling, as well as minimising and treating the risk from hazardous waste disposal.
Working closely with our clients to understand their processes and requirements, we provide integrated waste management solutions designed to reduce total waste, enhance resource recovery and achieve a minimal impact on the environment.
Our resource recovery solutions can be tailored to focus on specific environmental elements such as energy recovery, waste material recycling, water recycling, treating hazardous waste and minimising the overall carbon footprint.
Transpacific collects and treats organic materials such as grease trap waste, green waste, food waste, waste generated by abattoirs, organic wastes from industrial processes as well as biosolids waste generated by sewage treatment plants. These wastes are beneficially used for soil conditioners, potting mixes, composting, land rehabilitation, landscaping, forestry and agricultural purposes. Biosolids and organic waste applications are used on large-scale agriculture and mine site rehabilitation projects across Australia.
Waste oil is collected and processed back for reuse as pristine base oil.
Construction and demolition waste materials that would otherwise go to landfill are recovered for recycling and reuse in purpose built resource recovery facilities and at landfills. Concrete and bricks are crushed down for reuse; soil and wood are reused as mulch and woodchips for horticultural use; clean timber waste recovered is reused as fuel for power plants and metals are recycled.
Transpacific also operates a range of municipal and commercial Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs) that have a focus on recovery of packaging for recycling. Our commercial and industrial recycling program is supported by the Australian Packaging Covenant and has been recognised in Packaging Industry Awards.
Transpacific also recovers significant gas from landfills to generate green electricity. This waste-to-energy process reduces landfill gas emissions and provides green power to the electrical grid.
