Western Star Trucks Australia Pty Ltd (Western Star), is a wholly owned subsidiary of Transpacific, and recently has introduced to Australia a new brand of commercial truck called Foton Commercial Vehicles.
The first model, in what will be a wide range of models from Foton is the Aumark 4.5T light commercial truck.
Targeted at business owners who are looking for more capability that the traditional one tonne utility, the Foton model comes standard with a high quality 4,350 mm long x1995 mm wide steel tray with drop sides.
The vehicle is fitted with a Cummins ISF 2.8L engine and ZF 5 speed transmission for outstanding reliability, performance and fuel economy.
Foton vehicles are manufactured in China by Beiqi Foton Motor Co - the largest commercial vehicle manufacturer in China and the number-two commercial vehicle manufacturer in the world.
